Gig Harbor Wind Phone

 The Far North Wind Phone is now available to the community at Grandview Forest Park in Gig Harbor! 

Inspired by the original Wind Phone in Japan, a wind phone is a disconnected telephone placed in a peaceful outdoor setting where grieving individuals can speak to loved ones who are no longer with us. 

Visitors are welcome to pick up the receiver, share their thoughts, memories, or feelings, and imagine their words being carried away on the wind. 

Grief doesn’t end when the funeral is over. Relationships don’t end when someone dies. Sometimes we still need to tell them about our day, share our accomplishments, express our anger, or simply say, “I miss you.”

For many, a wind phone is a powerful place to say the things still carried in their hearts.

If your heart has words it still needs to speak, we hope you’ll visit.
